The fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF-2026), held June 16-18, concluded with 166 investment agreements worth $43.1 billion, which Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade described as a shift from showcasing potential to building concrete, long-term partnerships. Total attendance exceeded 10,400, including 3,802 foreign delegates from 102 countries more than triple the participation seen in 2022. Major global companies present included BlackRock, JPMorgan Chase, Citibank, Visa, Franklin Templeton, Bank of China, BP, Airbus, and Meta, representing a combined $42 trillion in assets under management. The program included 79 events across renewable energy, critical minerals, transport corridors, AI and digital governance, Islamic finance, and food security, alongside the launch of the planned Tashkent International Financial Center based on English law. Media coverage nearly doubled, with 209 foreign journalists from 123 outlets, including Bloomberg, Reuters, and BBC News, on the ground in Tashkent.
